The twelfth begins from an elevated tee, offering a clear view of a fairway that slopes strongly from right to left. Finding the correct position from the tee is important, as the natural contours can quickly move the ball across the fairway.

A dam guards the left side and will collect poorly directed tee shots, while a tall overhanging tree on the right can significantly restrict the approach for players who finish on that side. The ideal drive finds the centre-left portion of the fairway while avoiding the water.

Three bunkers protect the green, with one positioned to the right and two guarding the left side. The putting surface slopes from back to front, rewarding an approach that finishes below the hole and on the correct side of the green.

Good positioning from the tee makes the twelfth a realistic scoring opportunity, but an inaccurate drive can quickly leave a difficult angle into a well-protected green.
