Hole 17 - Par 5

Blue Tee: 482m | Red Tee: 443m

The seventeenth is a long, rolling par 5 that moves constantly with the natural terrain. The hole climbs from the tee toward the top of the first rise, drops back down into the valley for the lay-up area, then climbs again toward the green.

A subtle shape to the right influences the strategy from the tee. Longer hitters may choose to challenge the hill, with the reward of catching the downslope and potentially setting up a chance to reach the green in two. Thick pine trees and tall gums on the right, however, provide a strong penalty for anyone who gets too aggressive.

Shorter hitters are better served by playing the hole in three well-positioned shots, using the valley and elevation changes to create the best possible angle into the green.

The putting surface slopes from left to right and falls away sharply on the right-hand side, where firm conditions can send the ball toward the out of bounds fence. A bunker short-left adds further protection, making the ideal approach one that finishes safely on the correct side of the green.
