Hole 2 - Par 4/5
Blue Tee: 380m Par 4 | Red Tee: 394m Par 5
Hole 2 presents a demanding driving challenge, played as a par 4 from the blue tees and a par 5 from the red tees. Out of bounds runs the length of the right side, while large old gum trees overhang the left side of the teeing corridor, creating a visually narrow shot.
The fairway slopes heavily from right to left, so the ideal drive begins toward the right-centre and uses the natural contour to finish in position. However, any shot pushed too far right brings the boundary immediately into play.
From around 100 metres out, a large dam sits well left of the fairway and places extra pressure on the tee shot for the long hitters. Two green side bunkers protect the putting surface, one short at the front and another positioned midway along the right side.
The green itself is relatively flat with a gentle slope from front to back. Missing left or long leaves a very difficult recovery from the significant drop-off, making controlled distance and an approach to the centre right of the green the percentage play.
