Hole 7 - Par 4

The seventh is an exciting, risk-and-reward par 4 that offers longer hitters the opportunity to challenge the green from the tee. Played entirely downhill, the hole’s natural contours can provide significant assistance, with a sloping catchment beginning around 50 metres short and feeding well-directed shots toward the putting surface.

Accuracy remains essential. A dense pine forest runs along the left side of the fairway, while a large gum tree protects the right, narrowing the ideal line and placing a premium on a committed tee shot.

The green is guarded by bunkers at the front-left and front-right, with severe drop-offs waiting left, right and beyond the putting surface. Players laying up must leave a comfortable distance and angle, while those attempting to drive the green need to carry or use the front contours without bringing the surrounding trouble into play.

Long from front to back, the green slopes gradually toward and contains several subtle breaks. Reaching the putting surface may be possible in one, but controlling the ball and leaving it below the hole is the key to taking advantage.
